Gratitude Challenge Day 1 - Welcome Back!

I have been considering trying to revive this little blog for awhile, but I couldn't really figure out how I wanted to do that. A few days ago a friend started the Gratitude Challenge, a 21-day project to think about the little things in life that we are grateful for. I find myself every day getting more negative and less positive. I tend to worry about anything and everything in my life, so optimism hasn't come naturally to me. The pessimism though...that's kind of new. I don't want to be unhappy and I want to take time to "smell the roses" and not to "sweat the small things" every day.

Therefore, Challenge ACCEPTED!

The first day of the challenge is to sign the contract and commit to take note and give thanks over the next 21 days. My goal at the end is that I might find a little more peace, patience and optimism with where my life is and is going. I hope that 21 days of this project will also get me in the habit of blogging regularly.
